(HBO) – Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on February 25 paid a working visit to Hoa Binh. His delegation was joined by member of the Party Central Committee and Finance Minister Ho Duc Phoc and leaders of other ministries and agencies. Welcoming the delegation in Hoa Binh were Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Bui Duc Hinh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Council; and Bui Van Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; among others.

While
in Hoa Binh, the PM and his entourage offered incense at late President Ho Chi
Minh’s monument at the Hoa Binh hydroelectric plant.
He then came to inspect the construction site of
the expanded Hoa Binh hydropower plant. Kicked off in January, 2021, the
project worth 9.22 trillion VND (387.64 million USD) invested by the
Electricity Vietnam (EVN) aims to increase the peak coverage capacity for the
national power system, improve its frequency regulation and frequency
stability, and exploit the annual excess water discharged in the flood season
of the existing Hoa Binh hydropower plant. The constructor is now working
toward the completion of two turbines within 2025.
Lauding efforts by the investment and
construction sides in tackling problems and ensuring safety for the project so
far, Chinh highlighted the importance of the existing plant and the expanded
one serving the national energy security.
He urged them to ensure quality, progress, and
environmental protection.
As part of his trip to Hoa Binh, the PM also
visited 97-year-old Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Cho whose two children laid down
their lives for the independence and freedom of the fatherland. Wishing her
good health, Chinh stated the Party, State and people always remember the
contributions and sacrifices of families with meritorious services to the
national revolution and pay attention to caring for them.
Touring a 1.3-ha social housing project invested
by the Sao Vang real estate joint stock company in Quynh Lam ward in Hoa Binh
city, Chinh spoke highly of efforts by the investor for the implementation of
the 738-billion-VND project. Beginning in December, 2020, the building is
expected to finish in February this year.
Visiting households living in social houses,
Chinh requested relevant competent agencies and financial units to assist them
in accessing credit sources and stabilising their lives./.

March 3 marked the first official working day for specialised agencies under the provincial People's Committee following the merger or transfer of functions and tasks from the previous agencies. On this day, the newly merged departments and agencies took proactive steps to arrange personnel, organise workflows, and implement tasks efficiently, ensuring that administrative procedures were carried out smoothly without interruption.
