In the first three months of 2022, the Standing Board of the Party Committee of Lac Son district led and directed the comprehensive implementation of the Party and political system building.

The annual admission of new Party members has exceeded the plan. The district administration has focused on improving the quality of inspection, supervision, mass mobilisation, and religion work.

Activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF)’s chapter in the locality have been implemented effectively, and the personnel work in mass organisations from district to grassroots level consolidated.

The district issued resolutions on land management, urban development, tourism, and investment attraction.

So far, the district has 10 communes meeting all the 19 criteria to receive the title of new-style rural areas. The locality has so far attracted 33 investment projects with a total registered capital of about 11.8 trillion VND (over 500 million USD).

The district focused on performing tasks of planning, planning management, urban development, land management, land clearance compensation, support, and resettlement related to the Canh Tang Reservoir project. The locality has recorded stable socio-economic development.

However, participants mentioned the delay of land auction work in the district, which affects the implementation of a number of key projects in the district, especially the Canh Tang Reservoir project and the urban area in combination with high-end eco-tourism and resort project at Doi Thung in Quy Hoa commune.

For the projects, the district administration stressed that attention should be paid to speeding up the appraisal of procedures for land use right auction projects in the locality, and allocating capital to support districts to carry out master plan and detailed planning.
