(HBO) – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council of Hoa Binh province Bui Van Khanh hosted a reception on August 22 for a delegation from the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in Hiroshima prefecture led by its President Miyuki Sakuma.

Welcoming the delegation of the Japan - Vietnam Friendship
Association in Hiroshima prefecture, Khanh briefed them on Hoa Binh’s
outstanding socio-economic development results. He said that Hoa Binh is a
peace-loving province. In Vietnam in general and the province in particular,
the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/dioxin is working actively to
address consequences of Agent Orange/dioxin, contributing to the development of
the country, and for benefits of the victims.
At the meeting, Miyuki Sakuma said that the Japan - Vietnam
Friendship Association in Hiroshima was established in 1955 to develop a
solidarity movement with the Vietnamese people in the struggle for peace and
against the war. The association, the oldest of its kind in Hiroshima, has been
implementing many exchange and friendship activities with the Vietnamese
community living in the prefecture.
She expressed her hope that Hoa Binh province will
coordinate with the association in addressing war consequences and safeguarding
peace. She also called on Hoa Binh to join the Mayors For Peace network with
the goal of a world free of nuclear weapons.
Thanking the guest for her proposal, Khanh said that Hoa
Binh province will consider and study procedures to be able to participate in
this network in the coming time.
The Steering Committee for the Development of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation of Hoa Binh province convened a meeting on March 11 to deploy key tasks.

The meeting was chaired by Nguyen Phi Long, an alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee. It was attended by senior provincial officials, including Bui Thi Minh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council; Bui Duc Hinh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; other members of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee; and members of the document subcommittee.

March 3 marked the first official working day for specialised agencies under the provincial People's Committee following the merger or transfer of functions and tasks from the previous agencies. On this day, the newly merged departments and agencies took proactive steps to arrange personnel, organise workflows, and implement tasks efficiently, ensuring that administrative procedures were carried out smoothly without interruption.
