(HBO) – As many as 35 students from colleges and high schools in Hoa Binh province have been admitted to the Party in the 2022-2023 academic year, lifting the total number of students joining in the Party in the past 10 years to 114. Besides increasing the number, the party committees of local colleges and high schools have paid special attention to improving the quality of party members who are students.

year.
Bui Van Duong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Principal of Hoang Van Thu
High School for Gifted Students, said since 2015, the school’s Party
organisation has paid more attention to Party membership development among
students. Since 2019, as many as 53 outstanding students of the school have
been admitted to the Party.
In addition to standards stipulated in the Party Regulations, students of the
school, who want to become Party members, must ensure a number of standards
such as good performance in study and conduct in all three academic years;
winning excellent student awards at the provincial level or higher, and be
active members and pioneers in all class and school activities, he said.
Becoming a Party member is not only an honour for each individual but also
contributes to motivating and encouraging other students in the school to
strive and follow, he added.
Each year, the school selects and sends about 60 - 70 excellent students to
attend training courses on the Party, and then Party cells assign Party members
to directly guide, support, and train them prior to considering admission to
the Party, Duong said.
Not only schools in Hoa Binh city such as the Hoang Van Thu High School for
Gifted Students, the provincial Boarding School for Ethnic Students, and Hoa
Binh Pedagogical College, high schools in districts have also begun to pay more
attention to this work.
In order to improve the quality and effectiveness of the work, the provincial
Party Committee's Standing Board issued Directive No. 35-CT/TU, dated February
9, 2010 on promoting Party membership development among youth union members and
excellent students in schools and youth members doing duty in the armed force.
The selection and introduction of outstanding students from schools to be
considered for admission to the Party is carried out seriously, democratically
and openly by youth unions.
The 4th Congress of Ethnic Minority Groups of Hoa Binh province was successfully held on November 15 at the provincial Culture Centre.
In line with the Politburo’s Directive No. 05-CT/TW on promoting the study of and adherence to President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle, the Party Organisation of Kim Boi district has been focusing on developing practical models that align with the roles and realities of local agencies and communities involved. Through this initiative, numerous officials and Party members have emerged as exemplary figures, leading by example in learning from and following the late leader.
Hoa Binh province has paid due attention to developing Party membership in non-state enterprises, helping improve the role of the Party committees, organisations and members in the firms.
