The project has a total investment of more than 4.1 trillion VND (over 169 million USD). The People’s Committee of Lac Son district is in charge of the compensation work and the building of eight resettlement areas.
By now, the construction of initial works has been completed, paving the way for Irrigation Work Investment and Construction Management Board No. 1 to build blockage in accordance with the approved plan.
At the working session with the provincial Party leader, investors, localities and competent agencies committed to completing the site clearance and resettlement works soon to ensure the construction of the Canh Tang reservoir will be carried out in line with the set plan.
Long ordered relevant parties to examine and put forth the construction of the remaining works, while working to mobilise local households who have received compensation to move to the resettlement areas.
He also urged authorities to help local residents with their livelihoods, and asked them to sharpen focus on assessing land value to grant new land use certificates to local households.
Besides, the management board and competent sides must examine and review payment for contractors, and work to ensure that all of the allocated capital for 2023 is disbursed, he added.
