The Hoa Binh Statistics Office on December 12 held a meeting to review its performance in 2023 and set out tasks for 2024.

This year, the Hoa Binh Statistics Office has successfully fulfilled tasks
assigned by the General Statistics Office and the province. It has carried out
26 regular surveys in various fields. It coordinated with the Statistical Data
Collection and Information Technology Application Department and other units to
inspect, review and process data from regular statistical surveys to better
serve the compilation of statistical reports.
The office has developed monthly, quarterly, six-month, nine-month and annual
reports on the socio-economic situation based on information collected and
synthesised from surveys and statistical reports. This is an important document
serving regular meetings of the provincial Party Committee, People's Council,
and People's Committee at provincial and district levels. The reports were
timely and their reliability was improved.
In addition, the Statistical Yearbook 2022 was published on
time, ensuring its quality. Monthly statistical data were posted on the website
of the Hoa Binh Statistics Office. It also organised press conferences to
announce data on the socio-economic development situation in 2022 and the first
six months of 2023.
Participants at the meeting listened to presentations on solutions to improve
the quality of the statistical work, including those related to gathering
information and innovating leadership.
On this occasion, four collectives and four individuals were presented with
certificates of merit from the Ministry of Planning and Investment in
recognition of their contributions to Vietnam's statistics industry; 15
individuals were awarded the "For the cause of statistics" insignias,
and seven collectives were granted excellent emulation titles from the General
Director of the General Statistics Office. The Director of the Hoa Binh Statistics
Office also handed over certificates of merit to three collectives and eight
individuals with outstanding achievements.

The meeting was chaired by Nguyen Phi Long, an alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee. It was attended by senior provincial officials, including Bui Thi Minh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council; Bui Duc Hinh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; other members of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee; and members of the document subcommittee.

March 3 marked the first official working day for specialised agencies under the provincial People's Committee following the merger or transfer of functions and tasks from the previous agencies. On this day, the newly merged departments and agencies took proactive steps to arrange personnel, organise workflows, and implement tasks efficiently, ensuring that administrative procedures were carried out smoothly without interruption.
