Captain Bui Chi Quang, head of the communal police, said the mailbox, initiated by his unit, utilises social networks like Zalo, Facebook and email to serve the crime combat.
The commune is home to many religious followers, prompting hostile forces to take advantage of ethnic and religious issues to undermine solidarity and incite the violations of laws.
Since its inception in September 2020, the model has proven effective, and created all-round changes in ensuring security, order and social safety in the locality, said Chairman of the communal People’s Committee Quach Van Hieu.
Statistics show that the local police have received hundreds of messages, of them 31 related to religious activities, 53 to social order, 150 to drug crime, 59 to environment and traffic safety, and 57 to violations of legal regulations.
Thanks to the information, the communal police detected seven drug cases and five theft cases, and handled 35 administrative violations, and 75 individuals who got drunk, causing public disorder, or used drugs.
Quang said the model has been put in place in tandem with others to promote the public’s role in ensuring security and order in the locality.
