After rolling out the model of "friendly administration serving the people" in October 2023, the People’s Committee of Cu Yen commune, Luong Son district has taken drastic actions in handling complex issues in the locality in the spirit of providing better services to the people.


Locals in Cu Yen are always satisfied with the handling of administrative procedures at the "one-stop" section of the communal People's Committee.


According to Bui Dinh Luan, Vice Chairman of Cu Yen commune People’s Committee, the model has proved to be effective and helped to build a contingent of cadres and civil servants who have good ethics and high level of professionalism.

Since the implementation of the model, the commune has actively reviewed working regulations of the one-stop section and required staff members to sign commitments to strictly adhere to the rules. Specialised departments have given advice to the communal administration on good and appropriate ways to show timely attention to local residents such as sending letters of apology, congratulatory letters, letters of condolence to people. Since October 2023, the commune's People's Committee has sent a letter of thanks, 17 congratulatory messages and 10 letters of condolence to the people in the locality.

Identifying administrative procedure reform under the "one-stop", "single window" mechanisms is one of the important breakthroughs, every year, the commune develops plans and assigns specialised staff in charge of fields to receive applications for procedures and return results to citizens in accordance with the stipulated process.

Procedures under the commune's jurisdiction such as authentication of papers and registration of birth, death and marriage are usually handled in the shortest time, with many procedures settled before the prescribed time, winning public approval.

Nguyen Van Thanh, Nuoc Lanh hamlet shared that the locals are satisfied with the services provided by commune staff.

According to statistics, from the beginning of 2023, the commune has registered the birth of 45 babies, marriage for 47 couples, and issued certificates of marital status for 84 cases, certification of resident registration for 21 cases.
