Together with the whole country, people of all ethnic groups in Hoa Binh province celebrated the Lunar New Year of the Dragon happily and safely. The warm weather on the first days of the new year made people more joyful, in harmony with the bustling pace of spring life.

Fireworks display on Da River on New Year's Eve brings in confidence and wishes
for a good new year.
This year, all the districts and Hoa Binh
city organised special cultural and artistic activities and fireworks displays
on New Year’s Eve, meeting the enjoyment needs of local people and creating a
festive atmosphere and motivation to successfully complete socio-economic
targets for 2024. Before, during and after the fireworks displays, the
situation of security, order and traffic safety was all guaranteed.
In Lac Son district, a large number of
people flocked to the Muong Flower Garden amusement park in At hamlet, Vu Binh
commune. On this occasion, this park held an online photo contest to attract
the participation and response of young people.
At Pa Co tourist site, Pa Co commune (Mai
Chau district), Mong ethnic people organised night market activities, including
art performance competitions and folk games.
In Cao Phong district, from the second day
of the first lunar month (February 11), many tourist groups visited the Meddom
Park tourist site (Heritage Park of Vietnamese Scientists). Duong Ngoc Phuong,
Deputy Sales Manager of Meddom Park, said from the third to fifth day of the
first lunar month, the park welcomed about 300 visitors a day, mainly from
Hanoi.
In addition, spiritual tourism destinations
in the province had various early spring activities, notably the Tien Pagoda
festival and the Bo Temple festival.
In a difficult economic context, to ensure
that all people enjoy a warm Tet, the Party Committee, authorities, Fatherland
Front, and the entire political system of the province paid attention to and
promptly took care of policy beneficiaries, poor households, disadvantaged
groups, and children in special circumstances. Cultural, artistic, physical and
sports activities were promoted, meeting people's need to enjoy spiritual
culture during Tet.
After the week-long Tet holiday, localities
are focusing on leading and directing the implementation of key tasks. Farmers
begin cultivating the winter-spring rice crop, and strengthen disease
prevention and control measures for livestock and poultry, while workers in
establishments, businesses, and factories in the industrial park return to
work.
The Steering Committee for the Development of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation of Hoa Binh province convened a meeting on March 11 to deploy key tasks.

The subcommittee for documents of the 18th Hoa Binh provincial Party Congress, the 2025 - 2030 term, convened on March 3 to review and incorporate public feedback on the congress’s draft documents. The meeting was chaired by Nguyen Phi Long, an alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee. It was attended by senior provincial officials, including Bui Thi Minh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council; Bui Duc Hinh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; other members of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee; and members of the document subcommittee.
Muong Bi - Tan Lac, one of the four major Muong ethnic minority-inhabited regions in Hoa Binh, is known for not only its distinctive cultural identity but also its proud history of heroism, with great contributions to the victory against US invaders in the past. Today, Tan Lac district continues to uphold this legacy while embracing development and renewal.
March 3 marked the first official working day for specialised agencies under the provincial People's Committee following the merger or transfer of functions and tasks from the previous agencies. On this day, the newly merged departments and agencies took proactive steps to arrange personnel, organise workflows, and implement tasks efficiently, ensuring that administrative procedures were carried out smoothly without interruption.
