Mass mobilisation model "administration to serve the people” in Phuong Lam ward, Hoa Binh city

Officials and civil servants in charge of handling administrative procedures in Phuong Lam ward of Hoa Binh city have changed their attitude towards that of serving the people thanks to the launch of the "Friendly administration to serve the people” pilot model. All of them have offered public services to local people with a friendly, proper and polite manner.

According to Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Phuong Lam ward Phan Cong Binh, the Party Committee issued a resolution on directing competent sides to carry out the model.

Specific measures were outlined in the resolution, including the communications and mass mobilisation work, creation of various letter forms, citizen reception, dialogue organistion and settlement of complaints and denunciations in line with regulations, he said.

With changes in the serving attitude of local officials and civil servants, the model has helped reduce time and costs for local residents and organisations, while consolidate the public’s trust in the administration’s services.

Farmer pioneers in applying advanced technologies

Previously, Le Van Dong, born in 1991 in Dong Noi village in Dong Tam commune of Lac Thuy district did not receive any vocational training. Dong then convinced his family to land big investment in livestock and cultivation. With advanced technologies applied into farming, his chicken herd reached 40,000 heads during 2021-2022. He gained more than 6.3 billion VND (255,000 USD) in revenue and 500 million VND in profit from selling 67 tonnes of chicken.

Five labourers are working on his farm, each gaining 7.5-8 million VND per month.

Since 2023, Dong has joined hands with four households to set up an agricultural cooperative, develop farms and sign contracts with supermarkets and enterprises to expand the market for their products.

They have worked together to scale up the farming areas with a view to increasing the number of egg-laying hens by 30,000 and 2,000 fruit trees.

Dong is also willing to share his farming experience with local people.

Additionally, Dong and his family members always obey the Party and State’s policies, and actively engaged in local charitable activities. Over the past three years, his family as donated more than 100 million VND to support disadvantaged children, poor and near-poor households.

Rural road lighting model by Cao Phong youths

Initiated from a cooperation programme between the youth unions of Cao Phong district and Nam Tu Liem district (Hanoi) to carrying out the rural road solar-powered lighting model in Mo hamlet, Binh Thanh commune in March 2022, the model has been developed in Bam hamlet, Tay Phong commune; Trang Giua hamlet, Hop Phong commune; Bung 2, Thu Phong commune; Lon hamlet, Binh Thanh commune and Bai Be 1 and Bai Be 2 hamlet, Dung Phong commune.

Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Cao Phong district Bui Van Tuong said that the environmentally-friendly model has contributed to the local new-style rural area building, adding it has received enthusiastic response from the local authorities and people.

Along with hundreds of role models who have been honoured, there are many others with great endeavours to contribute to the province's socio-economic development.

Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Khanh affirmed that the role models, regardless of age, position and profession, have shone with a spirit of patriotism and desire to contribute to the society.

The province has focused on the communications work on the patriotic emulation movements so as to better respond to President Ho Chi Minh’s appeal for patriotic emulation and carry out the Politburo’s directive as well as the Law on Emulation and Commendation, he said, stressing more collectives, families and individuals have been engaged in the movements and inspire the community.
