The Veterans’ Association of Lac Thuy district has just organised its "Exemplary Veterans" emulation congress for the 2019 – 2024 period.

emulation movement.
Implementing the movement, the district association has well
done the work of protecting the Party, the government, the socialist regime,
and the people; and continuously innovated the contents and methods of
operation. The movement has helped speed up poverty reduction among officials
and members. In 2024, the association entrusted over 121 billion VND (4.75
million USD) to provide loans for 2,215 members for economic development,
poverty reduction and legal enrichment. At present, 2.3% of the association’s
members are poor households.
From 2019 - 2024, officials and members have contributed
5,620 working days, donated nearly 10,000sq.m of land to build public welfare
works. The association has built 175 "Clean houses, beautiful gardens, clean
environment, civilised villages” models, 112 self-managed roads. The charity
fund of veterans and socialisation work have helped upgrade and repair 25
houses for members, with a total value of 560 million VND. To date, 98% of the
members of the district association have achieved the title of exemplary
veterans.
In the coming time, the association will continue to step up
the implementation of the movement encouraging members to stay united to help
one another develop the economy, and improve living conditions; and mobilise
them to actively participate in local socio-economic programmes, and help those
living in difficult circumstances.
At the congress, 12 collectives and 25 individuals with
outstanding achievements in the emulation movement in the period were awarded
certificates of merit by the Chairperson of the district People's Committee and
the district Veterans’ Association.
A delegation of the Indian Embassy in Vietnam led by Ambasador Sandeep Arya paid a working trip to Hoa Binh province on April 1, aiming to explore cooperation opportunities. The provincial Department of Public Security has reorganised its structure to enhance operational efficiency and meet the evolving demands of the new era. In line with the Resolution No. 25 of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the move aims to streamline personnel, standardise leadership roles, and strengthen the police force’s capacity while creating better conditions for modernising equipment.
The subcommittee for documents of the 18th Hoa Binh provincial Party Congress, the 2025 - 2030 term, convened on March 3 to review and incorporate public feedback on the congress’s draft documents. The meeting was chaired by Nguyen Phi Long, an alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee. It was attended by senior provincial officials, including Bui Thi Minh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council; Bui Duc Hinh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; other members of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee; and members of the document subcommittee.
