A delegation of Hoa Binh province had a working session with representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Netherlands, on the occasion of their recent working trip to the European country. The delegation was led by Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council of Hoa Binh Bui Duc Hinh.

In his speech, Ambassador Ngo Huong Nam briefed delegates on the fruitful development of the Vietnam – Netherlands comprehensive relationship, especially the strategic partnership in agriculture, food security, and adapting to climate change.

According to the diplomat, the Netherlands has strengths in high-tech agriculture, renewable energy, and environmental management. The Dutch government highly values the ongoing cooperation projects in Vietnam.

Dutch businesses showed great interest in the potential and investment attraction policies introduced by Vietnamese localities at the forum on June 17, and showed a desire to explore opportunities for investment cooperation, Nam said.

Bui Duc Hinh, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council of Hoa Binh, thanked the embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for connecting and supporting Vietnamese localities, including Hoa Binh province, in introducing their potential and advantages to the Netherlands.

He provided an overview of the socio-economic development of Hoa Binh and its potential and advantages, emphasising that the locality has exported agricultural products to demanding markets such as Japan, the US, the UK, Canada, and the Republic of Korea.

He said he hopes that the embassy will continue to support Hoa Binh in connecting and cooperating with investors with advanced technologies in the fields of environment and high-tech agriculture.

Hoa Binh province is ready to collaborate with investors and enterprises to foster mutual development, Hinh affirmed.
