According to Ha Cong Nghi, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Mai Chau Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of the district, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Mai Chau plays a pivotal role in bridging the Party, the State, and the people. It has focused on improving communications and mobilisation work targeting various social strata as well as on strengthening the great national solidarity bloc. Additionally, it regularly monitors ethnic and religious matters in the district to propose issues of public concern to local authorities in a timely way.

Newly appointed members of the district’s VFF Committee for the 2024-2029 term officially take on their duties.

In the 2019-2024 term, the committee and its member organisations mobilised the community to donate thousands of square meters of land for public projects and 207,628 workdays. Locals also contributed cash and kind totaling over 45.74 billion VND (1.82 million USD) serving the implementation of the new-style rural development program. As of now, seven out of the 15 communes in the district have fulfilled the new-style rural standards, an increase of four since 2019. Chieng Chau and Mai Ha communes have achieved all the 19 criteria set for advanced new-style rural areas.

In terms of social welfare, over the past five years, the committee has received over 9 billion VND in cash and gifts, helped build and repair more than 200 "great solidarity" houses, and handed over 4,000 gifts to poor and disadvantaged households.

Every year, 100% of the residential areas in the district organise the "great national solidarity day", with their self-management groups well maintained.

The committee has also successfully implemented coordination programmes and actively participated in Party and administration building, while effectively performing supervisory and social criticism roles and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people.

Over the past five years, the committee have conducted over 300 supervisory activities, four social criticism conferences, 18 dialogues between leaders and the public, and over 900 voter contact sessions. It has also compiled and forwarded all voters' opinions and recommendations to the relevant authorities, promptly addressing issues to ensure public consensus.
