The official session of the 16th Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Congress of Hoa Binh province for the 2024 - 2029 tenure took place at the province’s Cultural Palace on August 1.

The event saw the presence of Nguyen Huu Dung, Vice President of the VFF Central Committee; Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Bui Duc Hinh, Standing Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; Bui Van Khanh, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; along with incumbent and former officials of Hoa Binh.
During the 2019 - 2024 tenure, all-level VFF committees in the province have closely followed the local socio-economic development orientation to carry out many comprehensive and flexible tasks and solutions, thus reaping significant results, including the continued reinforcement of the great national solidarity.
The congress pointed out shortcomings and lessons, specified targets and objectives for each year and the whole tenure, and outlined six action plans for 2024 - 2029.
Addressing the event, Vice President of the VFF Central Committee Nguyen Huu Dung asked all-level VFF committees in Hoa Binh to comprehensively, strongly, and fruitfully carry out the six action plans as well as the set criteria, tasks, and solutions.
Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Phi Long praised the achievements obtained by all-level VFF committees during the past tenure. He also emphasised five issues needing attention to ensure the front-related work continues developing and generating practical results.
Delegates to the event selected 85 persons to the 16th provincial VFF Committee in the 2024 - 2029 tenure.
At its first meeting, the 16th provincial VFF Committee chose Bui Van Luyen, Standing Vice President of the 15th provincial VFF Committee, as its President.
The congress also selected delegates of Hoa Binh to the National VFF Congress for the 2024 - 2029 tenure, and adopted the provincial congress’s resolution.
On this occasion, the provincial VFF Committee was granted a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister. The VFF Central Committee presented certificates of merit to two persons with substantial contributions to the front-related work.

The subcommittee for documents of the 18th Hoa Binh provincial Party Congress, the 2025 - 2030 term, convened on March 3 to review and incorporate public feedback on the congress’s draft documents. The meeting was chaired by Nguyen Phi Long, an alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee. It was attended by senior provincial officials, including Bui Thi Minh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council; Bui Duc Hinh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; other members of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee; and members of the document subcommittee.

March 3 marked the first official working day for specialised agencies under the provincial People's Committee following the merger or transfer of functions and tasks from the previous agencies. On this day, the newly merged departments and agencies took proactive steps to arrange personnel, organise workflows, and implement tasks efficiently, ensuring that administrative procedures were carried out smoothly without interruption.
