In an interview granted to Hoa Binh newspaper, Tu, who is also Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU)'s Hoa Binh chapter, said the province has more than 105,000 youngsters, of them youth union members accounting for 72%.
Nguyen Duy Tu, Secretary of the provincial youth union and President of the Vietnam Youth Federation’s Hoa Binh chapter, meets workers of 3T Garment Company in Lien Son commune, Luong Son district.
He said local youths are enjoying favourable conditions for comprehensive development. Their knowledge, professional skills, health and legal awareness are gradually improving. The majority of them are proactive, confident, creative, and quickly adaptive to new scientific and technological advancements, and show the spirit of pioneering and community sharing.
Activities, programmes, and movements launched by the provincial youth federation are being implemented effectively, creating an environment for young people to prove their role, he added.
Notably, during the past term, the movement "I love my Fatherland" has been put in place across the province to carry forward creativity among youngsters in volunteer activities, thereby encouraging them to show their patriotism through specific and practical actions. Many exemplary individuals have been honoured, contributing to building a good image of the new generation.
Inheriting the glorious tradition, all-level youth organisations have actively participated in building, promoting, and monitoring the implementation of youth-related policies, giving feedback to the Party's guidelines and resolutions, as well as the State's policies and laws in this regard.
Social welfare and volunteer activities have been actively implemented by various youth organisations with the involvement of the entire society, targeting disadvantaged youths and children, contributing to poverty alleviation and social welfare in the province.
In the next tenure, the Hoa Binh chapter of VYF is determined to achieve the targets set in the resolution of the 7th congress.
To this end, it will continue to inspire patriotism and uphold the pioneering role and the sense of responsibility among youngsters in pursuing economic, cultural, and social development goals, Tu said.
