In the morning of November 8, the Organizing Committee of Lac Thuy District’s Sports Tournament organized the 2024 District Marathon Tournament. There was the participation of 60 athletes from 10 communes and the town, competing in 4 competition events (male champion, female champion, young male, young female).
The Organizing Committee awarded the young women's
team prizes to the athletes.
Recently,
the sectors, the communes, the town, and the armed forces of Lac Thuy district
have launched and organized training to select the athletes to participate in
the marathon tournament, thereby it helps improving the quality of the
tournament, contributing to health training and promoting the mass sports
movement.
The
tournament aims to continue promoting the implementation of the campaign "All
people do exercises following the great example of Uncle Ho”. At the same time,
it helps evaluate the physical training and sports movement in general and
marathon sports in particular in the locality. With the spirit of solidarity,
honesty, nobility and progress, the athletes tried their best to compete.
At the end
of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded 24 first, second, and third
prizes and encouragement to the athletes with the excellent achievements.
Specifically (mentioning first prize only), the male champion: the athlete Dinh
Xuan Tuan, Chi Ne town; the female champion: the athlete Bui Thi Canh, Thong
Nhat commune; The young male: the athlete Ha Minh Doan, Hung Thi commune; the
young female: the athlete Bui Thi Uyen, Ba Hang Doi town. The Organizing
Committee also awarded 5 first and second-team prizes in the three categories
of male champion, young male and young female to the teams with the outstanding
achievements.
Through the
tournament, the Organizing Committee has selected the athletes with the
excellent achievements to compete in the upcoming XXXII Traditional Marathon
Tournament Hoa Binh Newspaper Cup.
In recent years, Lac Thuy district has paid increasing attention to investing in cultural and sports infrastructure. These grassroots facilities have attracted a large number of residents to participate in recreational and cultural activities, physical training, and community engagement, contributing to the development of cultural life and the local socio-economic growth.
In recent years, the mass physical training and sports (PTS) movement in Hoa Binh province has developed strongly and spread widely. Regardless of age, gender or occupation, people actively participate in physical training, creating a vibrant and enthusiastic sports atmosphere within the community.
Recently, Hoa Binh’s athletes have continued to show strong performances at national-level competitions. Alongside elite athletes, several standout performers have emerged from grassroots sports movements, underlining the province’s growing sports culture.
From April 26 to 27, at the Provincial Sports Arena, the Hoa Binh Provincial Karate Federation organized the 2025 Hoa Binh Open ASUDO Karate Championship.
While modern sports like volleyball and football continue to grow in popularity, traditional folk games and ethnic sports remain a vibrant and essential part of cultural life among the Muong community in Hoa Binh province.
A total of 85 young players from across Hoa Binh province recently participated in the provincial Youth Table Tennis Tournament. Organised by the provincial Centre for Youth Activities, the event was part of activities to celebrate the 94th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – 2025) and the 79th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27, 1946 – 2025).
