Along with promoting the spirit of volunteerism and completing the core tasks of the Youth Communist Union and the youth movement, in recent years, the Youth Communist Union at all levels in the province has regularly organized the movement of physical exercise and sports attracting the participation of a large number of union members and young people. These activities help the union members and the young people raise their awareness of self-training, improving their health, and building a healthy lifestyle and they are also a solution to attract and gather the young people in many localities.


The members of the Youth Communist Union and young people are participating in the run in response to the program "Steps for the community” and the movement "10,000 steps per day” launched by the Youth Communist Union of the Provincial Agencies.

Developing the sports movement among the members of the youth union and young people has always been identified by the Youth Communist Union at all levels in the province as an important task, creating conditions for entertainment, recreation, and health training, thereby it helps performing the professional tasks well. In the past year, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Communist Union directed 100% of Youth Union bases to promote the organization of sports activities to celebrate the major national and provincial holidays. Depending on the needs and conditions of each locality, the youth union members and young people have chosen suitable sports such as soccer, volleyball, badminton, etc. to practice and compete. In 2024, the whole province organized 145 men's and women's volleyball tournaments and 152 men's football tournaments. The sports activities have contributed to creating a competitive atmosphere, excitement in work, study, and physical training of the young generation.

Mr. Ha Cong Dat, the Secretary of Mai Chau District’s Youth Communist Union, says: that the sports activities for the union members and young people are no longer limited to the traditional sports but they have developed in a variety of ways such as cross-country running, pickleball, folk dancing, etc. The integration and organization of the sports activities with other shock activities has created a positive effect, receiving enthusiastic responses from the union members and young people. Thereby, it has been creating conditions for young people to exchange, building a healthy lifestyle and strongly developing the district's sports movement, discovering and nurturing the new local factors to participate in provincial and national sports competitions.

On the occasions of Youth Month, Summer Youth Volunteering Campaign, Winter - Spring Volunteering Campaign or holidays, Tet, in addition to volunteering to carry out the projects and tasks for the community, the Youth Union at all levels in the province has created the conditions for the union members and young people to have fun, entertain and participate in the sports activities to improve health through festivals, sports competitions, and sports tournaments. The center of the Provincial Youth Activity continues to maintain the talent classes: martial arts, dancing, table tennis, chess, sports dancing... Every year, the Provincial Youth Communist Union organizes table tennis tournaments for teenagers and children, and the "Green Race” swimming tournament attracts the participation of many young people and children. In addition, the organizations of the Youth Communist Union in the localities build and put into use many free activity and entertainment spots in the residential areas and schools by mobilizing socialization, helping children and students have more healthy and useful playgrounds.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Luan, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Communist Union, says: It can be said that physical exercise to improve health for the young people brings many benefits, creating the conditions for the young people to participate in exchanges and learn from each other's experiences. In the coming time, to maintain and promote the development of the movement. For physical exercise and sports, the Youth Union bases will continue to organize many sports activities through festivals, sports events, and competitions on the major national and local holidays. It is necessary to create the best conditions for the union members and young people to have fun, relax, exercise, perform well in their study, work, and production tasks, and actively participate in the activities and movements launched by the Union.
