Bui Thi Thu Thao brought home a gold medal in the eighth Asian Indoor Athletics Championship, which recently concluded at the Aftab-e Enqhelab Stadium in Tehran, Iran.

25-year-old Thao won the women’s long jump with a jump of 6.20m.
Nayana James of India came second with 6.08m, while Neena Varakil of India
took the bronze with 6.06m.
Earlier, Thao won a bronze medal in the women’s triple jump.
Besides Thao, Nguyen Thi Oanh also brought home a bronze in the
women’s 3,000m category, with a time of 9 min 48.48 sec.
Last year, Thao won a gold medal in the long jump at the Asian
championship, two others at the Asian Grand Prix and one title at the
Southeast Asian Games.
Vietnam sent three athletes to compete in the Asian event.

Enforcement Departments of 7 Provinces in the Northeastern and Mountainous Regions
On February 19th, at the Hoa Binh Province Sports Hall, the Cluster of Judicial Departments and Civil Judgment Enforcement Departments of 7 provinces in the Northeastern and Mountainous regions, including Hoa Binh, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Bac Kan, Yen Bai, Bac Giang and Phu Tho organized a friendly sports competition. A total of 52 athletes from the provinces in the cluster participated in the competition.

The dramatic match ended in a 0-0 draw when no goals were scored.
