Hoa Binh has affirmed the top position in the terrain cycling for men
From October 19th to October 29th, The National Championship for the terrain and long-distance cycling in 2023 took place on the roads and mountain bike racetrack of Hoa Binh city, with the competition of over 300 athletes nationwide. Hoa Binh team has 5 male athletes, including the famous athletes who have competed in the national terrain cycling team for many consecutive years.
The mark of this year's tournament is the "dominance” of Hoa Binh team’s riders with names that have been famous in the racing world such as Dinh Van Linh, Bui Van Nhat and the younger generation who are on the verge of becoming famous. Such as Bui. Van Hieu. According to the Vietnam Bicycle Federation, in the past 10 years, Hoa Binh team has always been in the highest position in national terrain cycling competitions.
The interesting point is that for the first time in the history of Vietnamese terrain cycling, there was an absolute dispute between the two riders who finished second in the men's individual cross-country scoring event. The racer Bui Van Nhat (Hoa Binh) and Nguyen Van Lam (Thanh Hoa) reached the finish line, but the Arbitration Board could not determine the rankings and decided to use the most modern equipment to determine their achievements. After that, it was decided to award 2 bronze medals to both riders.
In addition, at the Hoa Binh city’s terrain cycling racetrack, the cross-country cycling event with individual points was included for the first time in the system of Vietnamese terrain cycling competition to match the international terrain cycling content.
Summarizing the terrain cycling content, Hoa Binh team won 5 gold medals, 2 silver medals, 2 bronze medals out of a total of 14 sets of medals. The organizing committee also awarded 6 gold, silver, and bronze trophies to the outstanding athletes at the short-distance terrain cycling content - Federation Cup round 4; awarded 2 trophies to the young athletes under 18 years old, of which 2 athletes from Hoa Binh were awarded gold cups to the champion athlete and young male under 18 years old.

After the terrain cycling event, from the morning of October 24, the athletes started the long-distance cycling competition. The 37th National long-distance cycling Championship in 2023 has the participation of male and female cyclists from the provinces and the cities nationwide: Hanoi, Thanh Hoa, Lao Cai, Son La, Vinh Phuc , An Giang, Dong Thap, Binh Duong, Military, Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Vinh Long. Hoa Binh team has no athletes participating in the long-distance cycling competition.
The athletes participating in the events for women: 30-km points, 30-km timed, 50-km team timed, 500-meter speed, 3-km individual timed, 500-meter speed duo, 3- km team timed, 100-km companion start.
For the male athletes competing in the events of 30-km timed, 40-km individual timed, 80-km team timed, 500-meter speed, 4-km individual timed, 500-meter speed duo, 3-km team timed, 160-km companion start.
Hoa Binh terrain cycling team has always ranked the first in the national rankings for the past 10 years.

In the morning of June 30th, at Hoa Binh Square, the Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Indian Embassy in Hanoi to organize the International Yoga Day in Hoa Binh province in 2024. There was the attendance of Mr. Bui Duc Hinh, the Deputy Secretary of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and the leaders of a number of the appropriate departments, branches, unions... Recently, the martial artists from our province left a lasting impression at the 2024 Northern Vovinam Championship organized by the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Nam Dinh Province in collaboration with the Sports Department (Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism) and the Vietnam Vovinam Federation. This championship has attracted the participation of over 300 athletes and coaches from 13 delegations representing various provinces and cities in the Northern region. The participants competed in 73 categories, including martial arts performances and sparring.
Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Quach Thi Kieu, who is also head of the organising board for the celebration of the International Day of Yoga (June 21) in Hoa Binh province, chaired a meeting on the event on June 6.
At the National Championship for Stick Pushing and Tug of War in 2024 taking place in Dak Lak recently, a delegation of athletes from Hoa Binh province participated in both events. For stick pushing, they participated in 9 weight categories and won 1 gold medal, 3 silver medals and 2 bronze medals. Notably, the two young athletes who were both born in 2006 are the children of Van Son commune (Lac Son) and have contributed a lot to the province's competition achievements.
