On October 9th, at Hoa Binh Square, the Local Organizing Committee held the opening ceremony of the National Road and Mountain Bike Championship in 2024. There was the attendance of Mr. Nguyen Van Toan, the Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee and the leaders from several departments, branches and localities of the province; the leaders from the Vietnam Bicycle and Motor Sports Federation, the members of the Organizing Committee, the Referee Board and the athlete delegations...


Mr. Nguyen Van Toan, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with the leaders from several departments, branches and the Vietnam Bicycle and Motor Sports Federation, presented souvenir flags to the participating delegations.


The male athletes started competing in the individual cross-country cycling event.

There was the participation of 200 athletes from 13 delegations from the provinces and the cities and nationwide in this year's National Road and Terrain Bicycle Championship: Hanoi, Thanh Hoa, Lao Cai, Son La, Vinh Phuc, An Giang, Dong Thap, Binh Duong, Military, Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Vinh Long and Hoa Binh.

The aim of this event is to implement the Party's viewpoint on building and developing the physical training and sports movement, improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people; continuing to promote the campaign "All people do exercises following the great example of Uncle Ho”. This is also an opportunity to promote the tourism potential, culture, image, and the people of Hoa Binh to domestic friends.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, at the Hoa Binh City mountain bike racetrack, the athletes competed in the individual cross-country cycling events for men and women. In the afternoon of October 9th, the athletes competed in the men's and women's cross-country relay events.
