In the morning of October 22nd, at Yen Thuy District’s Stadium, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with Yen Thuy District’s People's Committee to organize the opening ceremony of the 2024 Volleyball Championship of Hoa Binh province.


The match between the female volleyball team of Kim Boi and Cao Phong districts took place immediately after the opening ceremony.

The tournament attracted nearly 150 athletes from 14 male and female football teams from 10 districts and the city. There were 8 male and 6 female volleyball teams. The teams competed in a round-robin format, with the first and second teams from each group would be selected to compete in the semi-finals and finals.

This year's tournament is organized to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Yen Thuy district (November 11th, 1964 - November 11th, 2024). It shows the concern, the care and the protection of the people's health, contributing to the development and affirming the growth of the movement of practicing and competing in volleyball in the localities in the province. At the same time, it helps select the excellent players to represent Hoa Binh province’s volleyball to compete in a number of the regional and national sports tournaments.

Immediately after the opening, the matches between the female and male volleyball teams took place, with the attractive and dramatic competition, attracting a large number of fans to watch and cheer.

As planned, Hoa Binh Provincial Volleyball Championship takes place from October 22nd – 25th.
