(HBO) -In spite of returning to the locality to seriously implement the social gap, the athletes do not neglect daily practice, ensuring sustainability, improving the personal performance, and abiding by the regulations on the prevention and control of Covid-19. Now, with an internet-connected computer, a tablet, or a smartphone, the coaches can easily interact with the athletes remotely. Training and monitoring the training process have become more convenient thanks to the way of working online.
The cyclists of the provincial Sports Gifted, training and
competition school have been training online at home under the supervision and
guidance of the coaches.
The impact of Covid-19 epidemics has prevented the teams of
mountain cycling from maintaining a concentrated form of exercise. The athletes
and coaches have switched to online training with physical and professional
exercises at home, limiting going out.
The cyclist, Bui Quy Duong, says: "Each athlete is aware of
the need to seriously realize the social distance and at the same time it is
necessary to maintain the training at home. Every day, I seriously and fully
practice the tasks assigned by the coach. Online training at home under the
supervision and guidance of the coach creates the interaction between teachers
and students, helping the athletes maintain the training regime, and not
letting oneself be lazy”.
Maintaining regular exercises has an important and necessary
role in the athletic career of each athlete. This not only helps athletes
improve their health, enhance their resistance to prevent and combat Covid-19,
but it also contributes to maintaining the physical foundation, maintaining and
improving the personal achievement, and preparing well for tournaments in the
future.
Mr. Tran Dai Nghia, the coach of mountain cyclist, says:
"Stopping training is dangerous for the athletes. Maintaining training and
increasing fitness help the athletes create a foundation to get ready for the
tournament after the epidemics is over. Although the training atmosphere is not
so exciting as a direct practice, each individual needs to adapt to the actual
situation. Working at home requires the athletes to have a sense of self-discipline
to complete all the tasks. Through a number of devices, the coaches can monitor
the students’ training progress and easily monitor the indicators ...”.
