Going to Khanh pagoda to pray for blessings

Travelling Cao Phong, visitors could visit Khanh pagoda sitting on the top of Khanh hill in Yen Thuong commune. Khanh pagoda is home to a number of Buddha statues formed from natural stone found in caves without the touch of humans, that’s why the Muong people call them "Budding Buddha”.

Tens of thousands of visitors visit and pray for blessings each year, as well as learn about the values of culture, literature and arts in the locality.

Visiting Thuong Bong Lai temple, offering incense to four Mother Goddesses

From "Budding Buddha” Khanh pagoda, visitors could travel to Thuong Bong Lai temple leaning on the foot of Dau Rong mountain. On the way to the temple, they will have a chance to pass through a field of lush orange trees deep in green and yellow colours.

Thuong Bong Lai temple, also called "Bong Lai Linh Tu”, worships four sacred Mother Goddesses.

"Bong Lai Linh Tu” temple was built magnificently with layers of curved roofs looking like dragon heads if seen from beneath. On the outside are a three-entrance gate and a bell tower that rings three times a day. Coming to the temple, visitors will have a feeling of peace and luck.

Splendid, mysterious Dau Rong mountain caves

After offering incenses and prayers to four Mother Goddesses in Thuong Bong Lai temple, many tourists could visit and contemplate sparkling and grandiose Dau Rong mountain caves dating back to thousands of years ago.

A huge and long dragon-shaped mountain range shields the southeast of Cao Phong town from wind and storms. It boasts numerous caves with colourful stalactite of different shapes. When the light comes in, they look sparkling and marvelous.

Due to the air and light in the cave and drops of water from the top and shoulder of the mountain carrying stone powder, stalactites in numerous shapes have formed.

That’s why over the past thousands of years, Dau Rong mountain caves still look splendid and become a fantastic wonder of the sacred land, contributing to the development of Cao Phong, Hoa Binh province./.
