(HBO)- In Da Bia village, Tien Phong commune, Da Bac district, a ceremony was held to announce that Da Bia village has received the ASEAN Community Tourism Award. The representatives of AOP Vietnam attended the ceremony.


Being authorized from the Minister of Culture – Sports and Tourism, the Vice Chairman of Da Bac People's Committee awarded the ASEAN Community Tourism Award to households who are doing community tourism in Da Bia village, Tien Phong commune (Da Bac).

Da Bia Community Tourist Resort is one of three resorts of the whole country that won the ASEAN Community Tourism Award in 2018. The award is presented at the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) in 2019. Xom Da Bia is a community village of Muong ethnic people.

The cultural space and natural landscapes are still original there. Da Bia, a beautiful and poetic natural landscape, is located close to the lake of Hoa Binh hydropower plant. Discovering Da Bia, tourists will experience rowing, rafting fishing and learning the culture and people. Currently, Da Bia village has 5 households doing community tourism. Since 2014, Da Bia hamlet has welcomed 183 delegations, attracting 2,110 domestic and international visitors. In 2018, revenue from tourism of Da Bia village is about 1 billion VND.

ASEAN Community Tourism Awards have affirmed that the quality and professionalism of Da Bia community tourism has met ASEAN standards. This is an opportunity for Da Bia to promote and introduce the cultural and human characteristics and the unique tourism activities to domestic and international travelers.

In 9 months, Mai Chau district welcomed over 684 thousand visitors

In the first 9 months of 2024, Mai Chau district, Hoa Binh province welcomed over 684 thousand visitors to visit and relax. In which, over 516 thousand domestic visitors and more than 168 thousand international visitors. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at over 821 billion VND.
