A destination that is hard to ignore when experiencing community tourism in Hoa Binh is Luy Ai village in Phong Phu commune (Tan Lac). Located in a small valley surrounded by the hillsides along the gentle Ai stream, Luy Ai village with more than 50 traditional houses on stilts is the residence and living space of Muong ethnic people for a long time. The tangible and intangible cultural heritages imbued with Muong identity are still conserved and preserved. Therefore, this is also a destination for those who are passionate about learning and researching the folk culture. Coming to the village, tourists can also drop their souls in Mo stories of the famous epic "Laying Land - Laying Water”. Within the tourism area of Hoa Binh Lake, there are many community tourism destinations that are popular with tourists, typically Da Bia in Tien Phong commune (Da Bac). This place is the ideal place for those who want to relax, explore and experience the life of Muong Ao Ta people with the intact beauty of nature, feeling the cool air of the mountains, and watching the white clouds floating like a silk band wrapped around the top of the mountain, mixed with the songs of birds. More interestingly, visitors can experience the services of cycling, walking to visit the village, serving meals at homestays, buying the local products at Tu Giac shops (selecting goods and paying for themselves), rafting, kayaking, waterfall bathing, wading streams… The village fully converges the elements of the nature and the indigenous culture and it is honored to become one of three tourism areas of the country to receive the ASEAN Community Tourism Award in 2018. 

Na Phon community tourism village in Na Phon commune (Mai Chau) offers visitors the peaceful life experiences. 

Located at an altitude of about 530m above the sea level, Sung village in Cao Son commune (Da Bac) leans back against the majestic Bieu mountain range, in front of which are the winding and stretching fields and terraces. This is the living place of 75 households of the Dao Tien ethnic group. With the unspoiled landscapes and the preserved cultural values, this community tourism village welcomes many international tourists. The culinary culture here is also different with Hoang wine, pickled meat, etc. Visitors can also participate in the memorable experiences, such as planting rice, planting forests, raising animals, cooking rice, fishing...

In the first 9 months of 2024, Mai Chau district, Hoa Binh province welcomed over 684 thousand visitors to visit and relax. In which, over 516 thousand domestic visitors and more than 168 thousand international visitors. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at over 821 billion VND.
