(HBO) - On June 22nd, at Xoan - Retreat tourism area in Da Bac, Mo hamlet, Hien Luong commune, AOP project management board of Da Bac district held the first Congress of Tourism Association, term 2022 - 2027 in Da Bac district.


The first Congress of Tourism Association in Da Bac District took place in Hien Luong commune (Da Bac).

The Tourism Association in Da Bac District was supported to establish by AOP organization and was issued by the Provincial People's Committee Decision No. 1004/QD-UBND, dated on May 22, 2022 on allowing the establishment of Da Bac District’s Tourism Association. Currently, in Da Bac district, there are 18 projects on tourism development, 15 households are doing homestay tourism services, 14 motels serving accommodation services. With the advantages of the nature and cultural identity, Da Bac district has been identified as a key tourism development center of the province. In the district, there are many communes located along the area of Hoa Binh lake, where the pristine scenery, fresh air, many large and small islands are the opportunity for tourists to enjoy relaxation when returning to the nature of clouds and mountains and the immense river. Hoa Binh Lake has been planned as a national tourism area, in which the development focus is on the area of Da Bac district.

With the theme "Solidarity, initiative, creativity, professionalism”, for the term 2022 - 2027, Da Bac District’s Tourism Association sets out the goal of continuing to strongly innovate the content and mode of operation on the basis of sticking the operation regulations of the Association, consolidating the organization of the Association to develop more and more, overcoming the difficulties and limitations, performing well the role of representative and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the Association members, contributing to making Da Bac district tourism become one of the key economic sectors of the district.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the first term, consisting of 8 people, Ms. Bui Thi Hieu was elected to hold the position of the Chairwoman of Da Bac District’s Tourism Association in term I, the period of 2022 - 2027.

In 9 months, Mai Chau district welcomed over 684 thousand visitors

In the first 9 months of 2024, Mai Chau district, Hoa Binh province welcomed over 684 thousand visitors to visit and relax. In which, over 516 thousand domestic visitors and more than 168 thousand international visitors. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at over 821 billion VND.
