Hoa Binh has witnessed an increasing number of tourists and good growth in tourism revenue, demonstrating a positive recovery trend in the "non-smoke industry”, thus creating momentum for further development of this sector.

Truong, Hoa Binh’s tourism sector has attracted the engagement of many sectors,
businesses, organisations, individuals and the community.
Cultural and tourism events taking place during the festival season in
Hoa Binh attract both domestic and international tourists, especially the Tien
Pagoda Festival in Lac Thuy district, the Khai Ha Festival of the Muong ethnic
people in Tan Lac district.
Local festivals contribute to preserving and promoting the traditional cultural
values of the locality, meeting the spiritual and cultural demands. National and regional sporting events held in Hoa Binh have also helped promote
culture and tourism, and attracting more travelers to the locality.
The Hoa Binh Marathon 2024, held for the first time in Hoa Binh city, saw the
participation of over 2,000 athletes from 44 provinces and cities nationwide,
and six countries. The race provided runners with an opportunity to enjoy
picturesque landscapes, take the panoramic view of Hoa Binh city, and run
through various tourist attractions in the locality.
Meanwhile, the Vietnam Ultra Marathon 2024 in Mai Chau district gathered 2,200
athletes from 38 countries worldwide. Mai Chau, with its unique tourist areas,
has become an ideal destination for athletes, their families and friends.
Hoa Binh served over 1.6 million holiday-makers in the first quarter of 2024,
earning 1.4 trillion VND (55.3 million USD) in revenue, up 22.7% and 27.3%
year-on-year, respectively.
Truong said apart from communications activities to promote tourism, the
locality has focused on strengthening cooperation to develop new tourism
products aligned with its strengths.
Thanks to the development of social networks, Thung waterfall is gradually becoming known as a new destination, attracting tourists from inside and outside the province thanks to its wild beauty. This is a positive sign opening up opportunities for tourism development in the mountainous commune of Quyet Chien, Tan Lac district.
