Since the passing of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on July 19, offices and private houses in Hoa Binh city have flown flags half-mast to commemorate the Party chief.

 According to the Mourning Board, a respect-paying ceremony with the national mourning etiquette will be solemnly held for General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong at the National Funeral Hall in Hanoi, the Thong Nhat Hall in Ho Chi Minh City, and his hometown in Dong Hoi commune of Hanoi’s Dong Anh district on July 25-26.

During the mourning, flags will be hoisted half-mast at the public offices throughout the country and at the Vietnamese representative offices abroad, and public entertainment and recreation activities halted.
