(HBO) - The provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee have directed local agencies and sectors in implementing policies supporting workers and enterprises affected by the COVID-19 pandemic as well as providing unemployment insurance benefits for labourers.

In July, 454 labourers in the province submitted unemployment insurance claims; 647 people obtained benefits from the insurance; and 454 others were provided with job placement consultations. The total value of unemployment insurance payouts amounted to 6.9 billion VND (296,730 USD).

In addition, the provincial People’s Committee directed the implementation of measures to assist workers, business households, and employers who were affected by the pandemic.

Hoa Binh also issued an additional list of beneficiaries to support, including those living under or just above the poverty line, social welfare beneficiaries, and revolutionary contributors. As a result, more than 922.7 million VND were distributed among 1,177 people./.
