Participants said the additional budget estimate for the provincial Social
Security is appropriate given the current circumstances, in order to ensure the
rights and interests of those participating in health insurance and achieve the
2023 goal of reaching a health insurance coverage rate of 95.2% of the total
local population (90.27% in 2022). It is also aimed at allocating sufficient
funds for those covered by the State budget and providing support for health
insurance coverage as stipulated.
They offered feedback on the wood processing and biomass pellet plant in Yen
Bong commune, Lac Thuy district. This project has a total investment of over
815 billion VND (33.9 million USD), covering an area of over 160,000sq.m. Once
completed, it will manufacture interior wood materials to meet domestic and
export demands, contributing to the development of the local wood processing
industry, generating jobs to local workers and increasing State budget revenue.
Concluding the event, Long underscored the importance of social insurance
policies and agreed with the proposal from the Civil Affairs Board of the
provincial People’s Committee regarding the supplementary budget for the
provincial social security to purchase health insurance for those covered by
the State budget and support coverage for 2023. He suggested ensuring the
correct use of State budget to purchase health insurance for the people,
holding awareness campaigns to encourage the public, especially those in remote
areas, to undergo regular health check-ups and ensure their rights in using health
insurance. He asked relevant authorities to regularly inspect health insurance
expenditures to prevent abuse and exploitation of health insurance policies.
About the wood processing and biomass pellet plant project in Yen Bong commune,
Lac Thuy district, the provincial Party Secretary agreed with the need to
launch the project which is to contribute to promoting the forestry economy,
improving the value of forest products and actively addressing local
employment.
He
assigned the board to expedite the project, and asked relevant agencies and Lac
Thuy district to create favourable conditions for the smooth implementation of
the project.
