Recently, the Standing Committee of Cao Phong District’s Youth Communist Union has actively directed the effective implementation of the models of collective economic development among youth, promoting the start-up movement among the youth, and helping each other develop the economy to get rich in their homeland.

Binh Thanh Agricultural, Service and Aquaculture Cooperative, owned by Mr. Dinh Van Linh, Lon Hamlet’s Youth Communist Union, Binh Thanh Commune (Cao Phong), has brought high efficiency, creating stable jobs for many local workers.

Identifying that accompanying young person on the path to self-employment and career building is one of the key tasks of the Youth Communist Union, the Youth Union chapters at all levels in the district have synchronously deployed the movement "Accompanying young people on the path to self-employment and career building”, creating a widespread influence among the union members and young people. Through the movement, many new and effective career models have emerged, affirming the pioneering role of young people on the economic development front, contributing to building an increasingly prosperous homeland. In 2024, in the whole district, there are 2 cooperatives owned by the young people: Binh Thanh Agricultural, Service and Aquaculture Cooperative directed by Mr. Dinh Van Linh, Youth Union of Lon Hamlet, Binh Thanh commune, with 15 members, and Dong Phong Agricultural Service Cooperative directed by Mr. Bui Van Cuong, the Youth Union of Chang Ngoai hamlet, Hop Phong commune, with 8 members, which have been operating effectively.

For the start-up and career movement to truly spread and provide practical and effective support to young people, the Youth Communist Union at all levels in the district should strengthen propaganda and dissemination of mechanisms and policies on economic development, start-ups, and career establishment; accompanying and advising young people on studying and building new financial models, which are suitable to the economic capacity and actual conditions of the locality and family. It is necessary to improve the quality of recruitment and career counseling days, support, and vocational training activities for the rural youth, the reformed youth, the demobilized soldiers, and the young laborers working abroad. It is suggested to actively and proactively propose to all levels and sectors to perfect the policies supporting young people to start-up a business.

Developing collective economy among the young people has been encouraged, creating conditions for the young people to develop the economy with many good models and effective methods, contributing to reducing the unemployment rate among the local young people. At the same time, maintaining the model of developing collective economy among youth helps Youth Union organizations at the grassroots level attract and gather the participation of young union members. This is also a place where the members share experiences, find effective business directions, help the young union members reduce difficulties in capital for production, and promote the economic development movement in the locality.

Mr. Bui Van Tuong, the Secretary of Cao Phong District’s Youth Communist Union, says: Building the collective economic models is an effective solution that can simultaneously solve many problems, not only in economic development for youth but also in solidarity and gathering youth, especially in rural areas today. Through the model, the young union members can support each other in economic development, promoting solidarity, and taking advantage of the support resources from the functional sectors. More importantly, when there are jobs in the locality, the situation of the young people leaving their hometown to work far away will decrease. Thereby it helps gathering and attracting young people to participate in the Youth Union organization more favorably.

"In the coming time, the District’s Youth Communist Union will continue to direct the Youth Communist Union at the grassroots levels to actively grasp the situation, needs and aspirations of the young people in economic development to have orientation, advice as well as coordinate with the related sectors to create conditions for transferring science and technology, varieties, experiences...; organizing the programs to visit and study economic models inside and outside the district to support and help young people develop suitable and effective models”, says the Secretary of the District’s Youth Communist Union.
