song Da industrial park, Hoa Binh city, nearly 850 workers quickly returned to
work for the first orders of the new year. They were excited after days of
family reunion. On the development path, the company has spent nearly 2 million
USD upgrading the infrastructure system, thus creating the most favorable working
environment for workers. At the same time, at the beginning of the year, lucky
money worth 300,000 VND (12 USD) was gifted to each person.
Nguyen Long, head of the company’s Trade Union, said that
the trade union has coordinated with the enterprise to implement many
meaningful programmes and activities to create motivation and a joyful
atmosphere for workers on the first days of the new year.
On the first working days after the long-lasting Tet
holiday, over 98% of trade union members and employees at enterprises have
returned to work. Some employees who have not returned to the enterprise due to
personal reasons have promptly reported to their employers. There is no one
quitting their jobs or running errands after Tet. In order to create maximum conditions
for employees to return to work in accordance with regulations, many
enterprises in the province support bus tickets and shuttle buses for employees
living far away. On the first day back to work, employers and trade union
officials went to the workplaces to visit, encourage, and wish a happy new year
to their workers; and give lucky money to them. This is a source of
encouragement for union members and labourers on the first days of the new
year.
Nguyen Duc Thuan, Permanent Vice President of the provincial
Labour Federation, said that in order to quickly stabilise the labour force
after the Lunar New Year holiday, the trade unions at all levels have
encouraged union members and labourers to return to work on time, and made a
list of those living in difficult circumstances to continue to care for and
help them feel secure in their work.

In the past, the phrase "bumper harvest, rock-bottom prices" was a familiar refrain for Vietnamese farmers engaged in fragmented, small-scale agriculture. But today, a new spirit is emerging across rural areas of Hoa Binh province - one of collaboration, organisation, and collective economic models that provide a stable foundation for production.
Maintaining growing area codes and packing facility codes in accordance with regulations is a mandatory requirement for agricultural products to be eligible for export. Recently, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hoa Binh province has intensified technical supervision of designated farming areas and packing facilities to safeguard the "green passport" that enables its products to access international markets.
