According to the provincial Department of Taxation, the State
budget collection reached 3,072 billion VND (135.3 million USD) in 2016, up 20
percent over the figure in 2015.
State-owned enterprises made remarkable contributions
to the State budget, with a total value of over 1,660 billion VND (some 73.1
million USD). Typical firms included Hoa Binh Hydroelectricity Plant, military-run
telecom group Viettel’s branch in Hoa Binh and the provincial Post Office.
Leaders of the provincial Department
of Taxation present certificates of merit bestowed by the provincial People’s
Committee, the Ministry of Finance, the General Department of Taxation and the provincial Department of Taxation to organizations and individuals who
had outstanding performance in implementing tax payment obligations in 2016
Apart from State-owned enterprises, a series of
foreign businesses such as Sankoh Vietnam Co., Ltd; DooSung Tech Vietnam Co.,
Ltd., and non-State enterprises like Vinh Son Cement Company; Vinaconex Clean
Water JSC; Hoang Son Energy, Construction, Trade Investment JSC; X18 Cement
JSC; Vinh Son Cement Co., Ltd., and An Thinh Hoa Binh JSC also contributed at
least 10 billion VND each to the State budget. Additionally, thousands of business households in the province also made remarkable
contributions to the State budget last year.
Based on the good results, the provincial
Department of Taxation selected 85 organizations and individuals for
certificates of merit conferred by the authorized agencies.
In 2017, the provincial Department of Taxation launched an emulation movement
to encourage local organizations and individuals to well perform tax policies
and laws. The agency also pledged to stand side by side with enterprises
by simplifying administrative procedures and supporting them in terms of market
access, thus helping improve their competitiveness edge.
The department also expected to surpass the budget collection target in 2017, thereby
successfully fulfilling the economic goals set out in the Resolution of the 16thprovincial Party Congress.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee
Nguyen Van Dung highly evaluated the taxation sector’s efforts in 2016. He also
praised local enterprises, entrepreneurs and business households for their endeavours
to overcome difficulties, create jobs for workers and contribute remarkably to
the state budget.
The official also hailed local enterprises’
expansion of production and business activities, especially in high-quality
agriculture./.
