(HBO) - The movement "Farmers emulating good production and business, being united to help each other get rich and escape sustainable poverty" is one of the emulation movement exploited and effectively implemented by the Farmer Association of Hang Tram town (Yen Thuy).

The model of growing clean vegetables brings
high income.
The Farmer Association of Hang Tram Town has
503 members. Since 2013, the Association has done well the tasks of
propagandizing and mobilizing its members to contribute to building a fund to
support farmers in order to have a returning fund to help members invest in
production. In addition, with the funds of farmer support of the Central
Association, they have given loans to 10 households to grow Dien pomelos with
total loan of 300 million VND. Moreover, the Association has collaborated with
the Policy Social Bank of the district to maintain the credits for farmers, so
far, the total outstanding loan is 587 million VND with two teams, 23 members
to develop production.
Together with the capital support, the Farmer
Association of Hang Tram Town has cooperated with functional offices to open 24
training courses on technology transfer in the field of husbandry and
cultivation for 1,355 officials and members. Along with that, the Association
has supported the introduction and promotion of agricultural products of the
town to build up the brand and output consumptions. In order to create a
commodity production area and build a brand for agricultural products, the
Association mobilized its members to participate in collective economic forms,
of which a group of agricultural cooperatives was set up with 33 members,
linking in planting citrus trees with a total area of over 46 hectares; a
group of cooperatives producing safe vegetables with 8 members and a
cooperative of husbandary based on the model of garden chickens with 5 members.
Through the production teams, farmers have been solidated to each other,
exchanging information and committed to production quality so that they
gradually maintain the brand of agricultural products in the region.
With those active ans realistic activities,
the movement of doing good production and business, solidarity to help each
other to enrich and reduce poverty in the area of Hang Tram town has
contributed to raising the income for farmers. Many members can overcome to get
rich. Currently, the average income of members is 36.5 million VND, the whole
town has 260 out of 355 households to achieve the households doing good
production and business.
According to data from the Hoa Binh Provincial Party Committee, the industrial production index for the first six months of 2025 is estimated to have increased by 20% compared to the same period last year. This marks the highest year-on-year growth rate for this period since 2020.
In the first six months of 2025, Hoa Binh province’s export turnover was estimated at 1.145 billion USD, marking an 18.11% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Import turnover was estimated at $ 804 million, a 17.15% increase, which helped the province maintain a positive trade balance.
The lives of the ethnic minority farmers in Tan Lac district have gradually improved thanks to the new directions in agricultural production. This is a testament to the collective strength fostered through the professional associations and groups implemented by various levels of the district’s Farmers’ Union.
With the motto the "product quality comes first,” after nearly one year of establishment and operation, Muong village’s Clean Food Agricultural and Commercial Cooperative, located in Cau Hamlet, Hung Son Commune (Kim Boi district), has launched reputable, high-quality agricultural products to the market that are well-received by consumers. The products such as Muong village’s pork sausage, salt-cured chicken, and salt-cured pork hocks have gradually carved out a place in the market and they are on the path to obtaining the OCOP certification.
In the past, the phrase "bumper harvest, rock-bottom prices" was a familiar refrain for Vietnamese farmers engaged in fragmented, small-scale agriculture. But today, a new spirit is emerging across rural areas of Hoa Binh province - one of collaboration, organisation, and collective economic models that provide a stable foundation for production.
Maintaining growing area codes and packing facility codes in accordance with regulations is a mandatory requirement for agricultural products to be eligible for export. Recently, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hoa Binh province has intensified technical supervision of designated farming areas and packing facilities to safeguard the "green passport" that enables its products to access international markets.
