was produced safely by the farmers. By August, 2016, after many efforts, the
collective label "Su Su Tan Lac" was protected by Intellectual
Property Department nationwide in the whole area of the country with the
ownership of Quyet Thang General Service Cooperative. 55 households, including
Ms. Dinh Thi Quyet family, can use this trademark.
In April, 2017, with the support of GNI
organization (Korea), at that time, Ms. Quyet, the head of Bieng village women
union, actively propagated and encouraged women to develop vegetables, which
were suitable for the local climate conditions, ensuring the association of
consumption of products to the market, while chayotes still maintains the key
position of vegetables. With Ms. Quyet, the production and consumption
activities of safe vegetables is a "backbone" issue in operating the
cooperative. The area of 17 hectares of chayotes planted by cooperative
members has been certified "VietGAP" as the "golden key" to
bring products to the nationwide markets. Directly holding the market segment,
Ms. Quyet understands that what consumers need is clean product, with clear
quality, origin. She was determined that no one can take over her job, Ms.
Quyet rent a car, sometimes have to go from 2 to 3 am to get down to the
consuming areas to introduce and access to the clues. On the other hand, she
deals with the cooperative alliance, the provincial Women's Union to put
products on offer, participate in fairs to connect the market, promote the
brand.
Since then, with the management and operation
of the Muong girl Dinh Thi Quyet, Quyet Chien Cooperative of safe vegetable
production has made the initial steps and effectiveness. The products of
chayote vegetables of the cooperative with VietGAP safe quality, with full
label, packaging has reached out to the large market, which is popular with
consumers. Some major distribution agencies, such as VinEco Agricultural
Production Investment Limited Company and some supermarkets and clean vegetable
shops in Hanoi have officially contracted to order. Clean vegetables produced
by member households are significantly improved in value thanks to VietGAP
certification. The prices of processed chayote vegetables were collected by the
cooperative for 6,500 VND / kg. With 7 months of harvesting (from April to
November), VietGAP chayote vegetables provide the production of 63 tons / hectare,
giving an average income of 400 million VND / hectare.
