(HBO) - Over the past years, Hoa Binh province has created conditions for businesses specialising in agricultural products in the locality to meet their counterparts nationwide in order to seek cooperation opportunities and expand markets. The move aims to promote trade and build brand names for local agricultural products, especially high-quality ones.

Fish products under One Commune One Product (OCOP) standards of Cuong Thinh Co., Ltd in Hoa Binh province have won consumer favour.

The province has helped to build geographical indication for Cao Phong orange and collective brand names for Son Thuy longan in Kim Boi district, Quyet Chien chayote leaves in Tan Lac district, Lac Thuy orange and Tan Lac pomelo, and protect intellectual rights for Da River fish and shrimp, Hoa Binh honey and Lac Thuy chicken. It is making plans to assist other local products to get certificates.

Some agricultural products of Hoa Binh like orange and pomelo have been placed on shelves in major supermarkets and commercial centres such as Big C, Hapro Mart, T Mart, Vinmart, Qmart, Co.opmart and Lotte, contributing to building an agricultural sector towards mass production, with high productivity, quality and competitiveness.

Hoa Binh has provided safe product certificates for six production and business facilities, implemented a system on product origin and supply-demand connection at hb.check.gov.vn, and helped to build stores introducing safe products in Luong Son, Da Bac and Lac Thuy districts, and Hoa Binh province, including one recognised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development./.
