(HBO) - The National Agricultural Extension Centre together with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hoa Binh province held a forum on August 5 to seek solutions to forestation providing material for wood export in the year.

growers participate in the event to share their experience and difficulties in forestation
in the locality.
The event offered local people a chance to
discuss policies, guidelines and solutions in terms of forest development in
Hoa Binh and other northern mountainous localities with authorities, scientists
and businesses. It helped them zone suitable areas for development in line with
the forestry plan of the whole region, contributing to socio-economic
development, environmental protection, hunger elimination and poverty mitigation,
as well as raising income for local residents and ensuring security-order.
Forest growers at the event shared
experience in economic efficiency and difficulties in the implementation of forest
development models in the locality.

In the past, the phrase "bumper harvest, rock-bottom prices" was a familiar refrain for Vietnamese farmers engaged in fragmented, small-scale agriculture. Maintaining growing area codes and packing facility codes in accordance with regulations is a mandatory requirement for agricultural products to be eligible for export. Recently, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hoa Binh province has intensified technical supervision of designated farming areas and packing facilities to safeguard the "green passport" that enables its products to access international markets.
