River
Left-bank
Industrial Park has
created jobs for hundreds of local workers.
HBN: Could you please explain the meaning of the
Vietnam Entrepreneurs
Day?
Nguyen Cao
Son: Late
President Ho Chi Minh on October 13, 1945 wrote a letter to
Vietnam’s
industry and trade circle, saying that "the circle must work to build a strong
and prosperous finance industry and economy." He noted that "public work
and private interests always bind together and a prosperous economy mainly owes
to the prosperity of businessmen and traders.”
The Government on September 20, 2004, therefore,
decided to name October 13 as the Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day to honour the
business community which leads the efforts to create jobs, reduce poverty and contribute
to the nation’s industrialization and modernization. The community have also
largely contributed to the State budget and volunteered in many charity events.
HBN: Could you please highlight key achievements of the province’s
Business Association and the local business community?
Nguyen Cao
Son: The
local business community has made great efforts to fulfill the province’s
socio-economic development goals over the past years. The community has
developed in terms of quantity and quality, with improved management capacity
and efficiency and expanded production. Its role has hereby been heightened in
the province.
Enterprises
have generated tens of trillions
Vietnam dong in revenue every year
and helped create jobs for local residents and reform the province’s
socio-economic structure. Many of them have received prestigious awards such as
"Sao Vang Dat Viet” (Golden Star of Vietnam), "Sao Do” (Red Star) and labour
medals and merit certificates handed by the Government and local authorities.
HBN: Could you please say more about what the association has done and is
planning to promote the tradition of
Vietnam’s businessmen?

end, it has been working with local authorities to improve business climate and
support the enterprises in accordance with the Government’s Resolution No.35.
We have worked to enhance our organizational structure
and operational effectiveness and train enterprises and investors on the
government’s policies and regulations. We have also put forward recommendations
to relevant authorities to resolve difficulties for the firms and worked with
the Government to provide support for them in terms of public administrative
reforms, finance, credit, interest rate and tax exemption.
We have worked
towards an open, friendly business environment and helped the business
community to develop sustainably.
According to data from the Hoa Binh Provincial Party Committee, the industrial production index for the first six months of 2025 is estimated to have increased by 20% compared to the same period last year. This marks the highest year-on-year growth rate for this period since 2020.
In the first six months of 2025, Hoa Binh province’s export turnover was estimated at 1.145 billion USD, marking an 18.11% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Import turnover was estimated at $ 804 million, a 17.15% increase, which helped the province maintain a positive trade balance.
The lives of the ethnic minority farmers in Tan Lac district have gradually improved thanks to the new directions in agricultural production. This is a testament to the collective strength fostered through the professional associations and groups implemented by various levels of the district’s Farmers’ Union.
With the motto the "product quality comes first,” after nearly one year of establishment and operation, Muong village’s Clean Food Agricultural and Commercial Cooperative, located in Cau Hamlet, Hung Son Commune (Kim Boi district), has launched reputable, high-quality agricultural products to the market that are well-received by consumers. The products such as Muong village’s pork sausage, salt-cured chicken, and salt-cured pork hocks have gradually carved out a place in the market and they are on the path to obtaining the OCOP certification.
In the past, the phrase "bumper harvest, rock-bottom prices" was a familiar refrain for Vietnamese farmers engaged in fragmented, small-scale agriculture. But today, a new spirit is emerging across rural areas of Hoa Binh province - one of collaboration, organisation, and collective economic models that provide a stable foundation for production.
Maintaining growing area codes and packing facility codes in accordance with regulations is a mandatory requirement for agricultural products to be eligible for export. Recently, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hoa Binh province has intensified technical supervision of designated farming areas and packing facilities to safeguard the "green passport" that enables its products to access international markets.
