(HBO) – Thanks to efforts in the direction and governance of the Party committees and authorities and the active participation of relevant agencies in supporting and removing difficulties for production and business and assisting taxpayers, Hoa Binh province's state budget revenue reached 5.6 trillion VND (245.2 million USD) in 2021, equal to 129 percent of the Government's estimate, up 10 percent compared to the target set by the Provincial People's Council resolution, and equal to 136 percent of that in 2020. This result ended a long time that the province did not meet the target of budget revenue.

This year, the province's state budget revenue estimate
allocated by the Prime Minister is 3.89 trillion VND, and by the provincial
People's Council 6.41 trillion VND. Of the total, import and export revenue
allocated by the Government and the provincial People's Council is 315 billion
VND; and domestic revenue allocated by the Government 3.58 trillion VND, and by
the provincial People's Council 6.09 trillion VND, including revenue from taxes
and fees (excluding land use levy) being 2.38 trillion VND and 2.99 trillion
VND, respectively, and collection from land use levy being 1.2 trillion VND and
3.1 trillion VND, respectively.
The implementation of the state budget collection task is
considered to be difficult as the COVID-19 pandemic has not shown any signs of
cooling down, greatly affecting production and business activities, financial
capacity and the observance of state budget obligation of taxpayers. However,
according to Deputy Director of the provincial Tax Department Nguyen Anh Tuan,
the department has determined that one of the key tasks is to support taxpayers
to quickly restore production and business, and strengthen the management of
budget collection right from the first month and first quarter of this year,
with focus on increasing the quality of inspection and examination to prevent
revenue loss, smuggling, trade fraud, and reduce tax debt.
According to the Steering Committee on the collection and
payment to the provincial state budget, by the end of February, state budget
revenue in the locality is estimated at 1.09 trillion VND, equal to 17.1
percent of the yearly estimate assigned by the provincial People's Council.
This result shows that the work in the first two months of the year achieved
positive growth, posting a year-on-year rise of nearly 60 percent./.
According to data from the Hoa Binh Provincial Party Committee, the industrial production index for the first six months of 2025 is estimated to have increased by 20% compared to the same period last year. This marks the highest year-on-year growth rate for this period since 2020.
In the first six months of 2025, Hoa Binh province’s export turnover was estimated at 1.145 billion USD, marking an 18.11% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Import turnover was estimated at $ 804 million, a 17.15% increase, which helped the province maintain a positive trade balance.

The products such as Muong village’s pork sausage, salt-cured chicken, and salt-cured pork hocks have gradually carved out a place in the market and they are on the path to obtaining the OCOP certification.
In the past, the phrase "bumper harvest, rock-bottom prices" was a familiar refrain for Vietnamese farmers engaged in fragmented, small-scale agriculture. But today, a new spirit is emerging across rural areas of Hoa Binh province - one of collaboration, organisation, and collective economic models that provide a stable foundation for production.
Maintaining growing area codes and packing facility codes in accordance with regulations is a mandatory requirement for agricultural products to be eligible for export. Recently, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hoa Binh province has intensified technical supervision of designated farming areas and packing facilities to safeguard the "green passport" that enables its products to access international markets.
