Professional staff accompany farmers in
agricultural production.
They are advised to shift the structure of plants, livestock, and crops;
exploit potential and strengths in land, human resources and capital for
production and collective economy development. Households are encouraged to
gather land, improve management skills and form specialised farming models,
thus creating products of high economic value and gradually developing OCOP
products. In the past 10 months, the district Farmers' Association has
supported the establishment of six cooperative groups in the fields of
aquaculture, growing bananas in combination with raising cows, cow breeding and
fish cage farming.
Consultancy and support services for farmers have also been promoted. The
district Farmers' Association organised two vocational training courses on
livestock breeding for 67 members as well as helped farmers secure employment
in the first 10 months of 2022. After being trained, members can earn an
average income of 3-4 million VND (125-167 USD) per month.
The farmers' associations at all levels, in coordination with relevant
industries and businesses, supplied 155 tons of fertilisers to farmers in

In the past, the phrase "bumper harvest, rock-bottom prices" was a familiar refrain for Vietnamese farmers engaged in fragmented, small-scale agriculture. But today, a new spirit is emerging across rural areas of Hoa Binh province - one of collaboration, organisation, and collective economic models that provide a stable foundation for production.
Maintaining growing area codes and packing facility codes in accordance with regulations is a mandatory requirement for agricultural products to be eligible for export. Recently, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hoa Binh province has intensified technical supervision of designated farming areas and packing facilities to safeguard the "green passport" that enables its products to access international markets.
