Cooperation and Rural Development, the provincial Department of Agriculture and
Rural Development, the People's Committees of Lac Son and Yen Thuy districts
and the Fusa Organic Agriculture joint Stock Company sign the cooperation
agreement.
The parties agreed to work together to develop a fruit tree
material area in Hoa Binh province within the scale of the pilot project. Participating in the project, the Department of Economic
Cooperation and Rural Development will coordinate with the other parties to
disseminate and build a production and consumption linkage area of fruit trees
in the province, develop cooperatives, support training personnel, intensify
agricultural encouragement activities and high technology application, and step
up digital transformation in association with production linkage chains.
The provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural
Development will direct units to prioritise supporting the development of
cooperatives in the material area in order to develop it, and form production
and consumption linkages with Fusa; and step up agricultural extension
activities and application of high technology to implement the project.
The People's Committees of Lac Son and Yen Thuy districts
will prioritise the local budget to support the development of cooperatives in
order to develop the material area which links production and consumption with
the company.
Meanwhile, Fusa is responsible for developing an annual plan
and linking production with cooperatives to form a value chain of standard
fruit tree material area.
According to Fusa’s material area development plan in Hoa
Binh province in the 2023 - 2030 period, the company aims to develop the
material area for production and export processing, gradually forming commodity
production areas in accordance with VietGap and GlobalGap standards which apply
scientific and technological advances, innovate equipment in research,
breeding, cultivation, processing, extraction and technology transfer in order
to create high quality and competitive products.
The company will focus its resources on expanding the tree
area and annual crops to build specialised production areas for several crops
such as white sugarcane, purple sugarcane, chili, Cao Phong orange, Tan Lac
red-flesh pomelo, and passion fruit, with a total area of 500 ha, including 200
ha in Tan Lac district, 20 ha in Cao Phong district; 50 ha in Lac Son district,
100 ha in Yen Thuy district, 100 ha in Kim Boi district, and 30 ha in Luong Son
district./.
According to data from the Hoa Binh Provincial Party Committee, the industrial production index for the first six months of 2025 is estimated to have increased by 20% compared to the same period last year. This marks the highest year-on-year growth rate for this period since 2020.
In the first six months of 2025, Hoa Binh province’s export turnover was estimated at 1.145 billion USD, marking an 18.11% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Import turnover was estimated at $ 804 million, a 17.15% increase, which helped the province maintain a positive trade balance.
The lives of the ethnic minority farmers in Tan Lac district have gradually improved thanks to the new directions in agricultural production. This is a testament to the collective strength fostered through the professional associations and groups implemented by various levels of the district’s Farmers’ Union.
With the motto the "product quality comes first,” after nearly one year of establishment and operation, Muong village’s Clean Food Agricultural and Commercial Cooperative, located in Cau Hamlet, Hung Son Commune (Kim Boi district), has launched reputable, high-quality agricultural products to the market that are well-received by consumers. The products such as Muong village’s pork sausage, salt-cured chicken, and salt-cured pork hocks have gradually carved out a place in the market and they are on the path to obtaining the OCOP certification.
In the past, the phrase "bumper harvest, rock-bottom prices" was a familiar refrain for Vietnamese farmers engaged in fragmented, small-scale agriculture. But today, a new spirit is emerging across rural areas of Hoa Binh province - one of collaboration, organisation, and collective economic models that provide a stable foundation for production.
Maintaining growing area codes and packing facility codes in accordance with regulations is a mandatory requirement for agricultural products to be eligible for export. Recently, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hoa Binh province has intensified technical supervision of designated farming areas and packing facilities to safeguard the "green passport" that enables its products to access international markets.
