(HBO) – Hoa Binh city’s Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the People’s Committees of Lac Son and Cao Phong districts, and R.Y.B joint Stocks Company on July 25 held a ceremony to mark the export of two One Commune One Product (OCOP) products - turmeric starch and pink-fleshed Eureka lemon in honey - to the UK.

company cut ribbons for the shipment at the ceremony.
The batch concludes 60 boxes of turmeric starch produced by the Nhung Van Co.
Ltd in Lac Son district and pink-fleshed Eureka lemon in honey by the Ha Phong
Cooperative in Cao Phong district. Each box contains 1,080 jars and each jar
weighs 200-500 grams.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee
Dinh Cong Su said that the export of the two OCOP items proved the potential
and advantages of the province’s agricultural products to meet consumers’
tastes, even those in choosy markets.
He said that in the coming time, the province’s agricultural sector and localities
will continue to strengthen directing the production, and development of raw
material areas. Local authorities will support the certification of food safety
for the raw material areas and help manufacturers to improve product quality,
packaging design, traceability stamps, and participate in trade promotion
programmes.
Departments, agencies and local authorities are the bridge
connecting producers with businesses so that the parties can regularly meet and
exchange information to improve the product quality and designs to better meet
the requirements of the market, he said.
Local authorities were asked to promptly grasp the problems and
difficulties of the parties, and timely support them to solve the problems.
He said local authorities will continue to call on investors and support them
in investing and purchasing products./.

In recent years, residents in Van Mai commune, Mai Chau district, have expanded their fish farming areas and striven to build a strong reputation for their product. They are also working to establish it as an OCOP (One Commune, One Product) item to increase their income.
Outstanding rural industrial products of Hoa Binh province in 2024 were recently honoured and granted certificates, becoming a source of pride for producers and also a boost for local economic development. The honourees are all deeply imbued with the local cultural identity and boast considerable commercial potential, helping popularise the image of Hoa Binh to domestic and international consumers. This is also a solid stepping stone for rural industrial establishments to develop.
In the first 10 months of 2024, Hoa Binh city made significant progress in job creation and labour exports, sending 112 workers abroad through partnerships with authorised recruitment firms.
