Implementing the loan program for production and business households in difficult areas according to Decision No. 31/2007/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, from the beginning of the year until now, Hoa Binh provincial Bank for Social Policies branch has disbursed 92.7 billion VND to 1,953 households. Up to now, the total outstanding debt of this credit program has reached more than 685 billion VND with more than 17.2 thousand customers with outstanding debt.
Households in Bai Trang hamlet, Dong Lai commune (Tan Lac district) borrowed capital from production and business households in difficult areas to grow grapefruit.
This is one of the four programs with the highest outstanding debt among the credit programs that the Provincial Bank for Social Policies Branch is managing. Through this credit program, tens thousands of production and business households in difficult areas have invested capital to expand production, improve economic efficiency and improve income.
According to data from the Hoa Binh Provincial Party Committee, the industrial production index for the first six months of 2025 is estimated to have increased by 20% compared to the same period last year. This marks the highest year-on-year growth rate for this period since 2020.
In the first six months of 2025, Hoa Binh province’s export turnover was estimated at 1.145 billion USD, marking an 18.11% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Import turnover was estimated at $ 804 million, a 17.15% increase, which helped the province maintain a positive trade balance.

Recently, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hoa Binh province has intensified technical supervision of designated farming areas and packing facilities to safeguard the "green passport" that enables its products to access international markets.
