On January 11th, the Provincial Tourism Association held a conference to summarize the activities in 2023 and deploy the tasks in 2024. Mr. Nguyen Van Toan, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended and directed the conference.

Currently there are 90 members in he provincial Tourism Association, the number of new members increased from a number of investors, new tourism business units and from the Tourism Association of Cao Phong and Da Bac districts. In 2023, the Association has coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and functional sectors to propagate and disseminate the documents related to the activities of tourism business, proposing mechanisms, policies and laws to support businesses. Training and fostering to improve the quality of tourism employees. On the other hand, they directed the members to focus on improving the quality of tourism products and services; propagandizing, advertising and promoting tourism, contributing to the result of welcoming 3.8 million turns of tourists and visitors to the province, and the total revenue from tourists reached 4,000 billion VND. In the whole province, there are 498 tourism accommodation establishments, including 48 hotels, 270 motels, and 180 homestays meeting the standards to serve tourists.

Deploying the tasks in 2024, the Provincial Tourism Association focuses on improving the operational capacity of the Association's Executive Committee in the governance and development orientation; creating the favorable conditions for the members operating tourism service businesses in the area to exchange, study, improve professional qualifications, and develop tourism products; Well performing the role of the public-private partnership in advising the provincial leaders on strategies, planning, and tourism development plans, promulgating mechanisms and policies to create favorable conditions for tourism organizations and businesses to develop.

Making a speech at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Toan, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged the results achieved by the Provincial Tourism Association in 2023 and proposed that in 2024, the Association be more active in participating with other state management agencies, advising on the development of mechanisms and policies to attract investment and support tourism development according to the province's development plans; the member businesses continue to invest in facilities, improve the quality of tourism products and services to attract tourists and contribute to fulfilling the province's tourism targets. In 2024, the province is trying to welcome 4.2 million turns of visitors, including 500 thousand turns of international visitors.
