Learning by himself, Mr. Ngo Kim Quyen in Dong Tien ward, Hoa Binh city, Hoa Binh province has successfully cultured cordyceps. The product meets OCOP 3-star standards.

In 2016, Mr. Quyen set up QP Gold cordyceps production facility. In 2019, Mr. Quyen spent all of his accumulated capital and loans to build a production zone. Each batch implants about 1,000 boxes of embryos. After 2 months, about 30 kg of fresh cordyceps are harvested, equivalent to 5 - 6 kg of dried cordyceps. Fresh cordyceps mushrooms cost 7 million VND/kg, dried cordyceps mushrooms cost 40 million VND/kg. During the Covid-19 epidemic, his family still earned about 50 million VND each month. Currently, revenue from cordyceps mushrooms has increased by 2 - 2.5 times.  

QP Gold facility has 2 product groups from cordyceps mushrooms: fresh and dried cordyceps grown with synthetic organic nutrients and one type grown on silkworm pupa hosts. Products on silkworm pupae are high-end products.

QP Gold facility became an address for a lot of young people in Hoa Binh city and other places to visit, learn from experience, and collaborate in production and consumption of products. A remarkable milestone is that in 2022, QP Gold's cordyceps products were recognized as meeting 3-star OCOP standards. This success helps products sell better. Annual revenue from cordyceps products reaches about 1 billion VND.

Currently, Mr. Quyen and his wife have completed the production area with many machines, such as: modern dryers, a temperature-guaranteed breeding area... In order to let consumers know more about the product, Mr. Quyen introduces from selling embryos to providing seeds and products to the market. He actively participates in investment promotion conferences in Hoa Binh province to search for markets. Through this activity, products are introduced at many fairs and seminars inside and outside Hoa Binh province...
