Speaking at the programme, Toan emphasised that children are the future generation of the country. In recent years, the Party Committees and administration at all levels as well as departments, sectors, and mass organisations in the province have always paid special attention to children.

He acknowledged and highly valued the sense of responsibility and dedication of the medical staff at the provincial General Hospital and the officials at the provincial Social Work Centre and the provincial Fund for Children for wholeheartedly caring for, nurturing, and treating child patients and orphans, helping them overcome difficulties.

The Vice Chairman extended his best wishes to the children receiving treatment at the hospital for a speedy recovery and good health so they can return to their families. He wished them a joyful and safe International Children’s Day and summer holiday, and encouraged them to continue to strive to behave well and study hard.

At the programme, the organisers presented gift sets in cash, each worth 500,000 VND (nearly 20 USD), to 48 children — including 18 children under the care, management, and nurturing of the provincial Social Work Centre and the provincial Fund for Children, and 30 disadvantaged child patients receiving treatment at the provincial General Hospital. Participating children also received other meaningful gifts on this occasion.
