(HBO) - Recently, the Red Cross of Kim Boi district has coordinated with the sponsors and the benefactors to organize many practical, humane activities, sharing kindness, bringing happiness to a lot of difficult people.

The representatives of the district’s Red Cross and other appropriate organizations are giving a new house to Mr. Bui Van Quyen in Dam Sang hamlet, Xuan Thuy commune (Kim Boi), helping the family to settle down.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tan, the Chairman of the district’s Red Cross, says "The district’s Red Cross with the grassroots units has mobilized the sponsors and the benefactors to organize many exciting and widespread activities aimed at the those who are in difficult circumstances and weak in the area”.

The Association has promoted the implementation of social security in coordination with organizations and individuals to support money and necessities for disable people and those who are in difficult circumstances since 2019. The movements and the campaigns such as "Tet for the poor and the victims of Agent Orange”, "Each organization, each individual associate with a humanitarian address” ... have been widely deployed, creating great power and bringing the practical effects. The movement "Tet for the poor and the victims of Agent Orange” has been implemented.

Through the program of cow bank launched by the Red Cross of the Central Committee, in 2019, the Red Cross donated 12 breeding cows to the extremely difficult households with the total of 180 million VND. The Red Cross also donated 3,000 notebooks, 4,700 warm shirts, school supplies for the poor and studious students with a total of 140 million VND. They have support 15 million dongs for 15 families with children who were drowned or had accidents.

From the supported fund of the district’s Fatherland Front, the district’s Red Cross has given 3 houses with the total of 90 million VND to the poor households who have difficulty in housing, helping them to stabilize their lives. The movements and models implemented have brought practical effects, helping people in difficult circumstances and contributing to the implementation of social security in the area.

In the first quarter of 2020, the district’s Red Cross organized 2 training courses to improve the skills for disaster prevention for 40 the officers at the grassroots level, 2 training courses on first aid skills for specialized officials, contributing to helping people in case of incidents. In the first quarter, the Red Cross of Kim Boi district cooperated with the Association of Victims of Agent Orange of the district to give 438 face masks and 146 bottles of antibacterial hand sanitizer worth over 20 million VND to 146 people who are the victims of Agent Orange in the area, contributing to join hands to repel Covid-19 epidemics.
