(HBO) – As of the end of April, outstanding loans for the poor and other beneficiaries of social policies in Mai Chau district, Hoa Binh province, approximated 300.1 billion VND (nearly 13 million USD), according to the transaction office of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) in the district.
Since the year’s beginning, the VBSP branch in
Mai Chau has continued mobilising capital from different sources and disbursed
the money for the poor and other policy beneficiaries in a timely manner.
As much as 59.3 billion VND had been lent in the
first four months, including more than 32 billion VND for over 1,600 borrowers
in April.
Loans for households to carry out production and
business activities in disadvantaged areas account for the majority, more than
25.6 billion VND between January and April, raising the total credit of this
type so far to 80.5 billion VND for over 2,000 households.
It is followed by loans for poor households
(72.7 billion VND), near-poor households (54 billion VND), and clean water
supply and environmental hygiene projects (45.7 billion VND)./.

On January 9th, the Department of Education and Training held a conference to summarize the school year of 2024, reviewing the semester I and deploy tasks for 2025, semester II of the 2024-2025 school year. Kim Boi district, a revolutionary land rich in cultural heritage, is "awakening” with major opportunities to become a tourism and eco-urban hub in Hoa Binh province and the region as a whole.
