Month 2023 has the theme "Ensuring social security, empowering and
creating opportunities for women and girls to achieve gender equality and
eliminate gender-based violence".
During
the month of action (November 15 -December 15), Hoa Binh Province will propagate a lot of diverse forms, suitable for each target
group; implementing digitalization in communication on social networks; strengthen inspection forms for gender equality
and for the advancement of women at agencies, units, localities...
Thereby,
creating a communication campaign, attracting attention and highlighting the
role, responsibility and proactive participation of individuals, families,
communities, agencies and organizations in work. Ensuring social security,
empowering women and girls, providing equality and amenities, responding to
violence and abuse of women and children.
Recently, the Red Cross of Tan Lac district has organized many practical, meaningful, and humane activities, targeting the vulnerable people, the poor, and the people in difficult circumstances, contributing to helping them in their life.
For many years, the province has strengthened leadership, direction, and mobilization of participation from all of the levels, branches, agencies, and units to help the poor access and benefit from sustainable poverty reduction programs and projects. Through integrating the resources, the appearance of the rural areas and the lives of the poor in the areas of the ethnic minorities in the province are gradually improved.
On November 27th, at the Provincial Cultural Palace, the Provincial Steering Committee for Population and Development coordinated with the Department of Population - Ministry of Health to organize the Launching Campaign to increase the access to family planning services in the areas of the ethnic minorities and the mountainous ones with high birth rates. There was the attendance of Mr. Nguyen Van Toan, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Population and Development; the representatives of the Department of Population and a number of departments and branches of the province.
Luong Son district, Hoa Binh province has developed a lot of solutions to mobilize resources to invest in education and training infrastructure according to national standards associated with the implementation of the new rural development program.
In 2022, Kim Boi began implementing the national target programme for new-style rural building following the guidelines, instructions, and criteria set for 2021-2025, which include several changes and additions with higher criteria requirements. The district has promptly adapted and mobilised the concerted effort from its entire political system, making notable progress so far.
Lac Son district currently has over 131,000 people participating in health insurance, reaching a coverage rate of 93.2%. The district is drastically implementing solutions to fulfil the coverage target of 94.7% as assigned by the province.
