popular sport that the local people in all the countryside area enjoy. In Ngoc
Lau commune (Lac Son), although it has been known since the beginning of 2011,
but up to now, every village has a playground and has set up a volleyball team.
According to Bui Van Mung, a commune cultural officer, Ngoc Lau organizes a
tournament every year for all the village teams to exchange and compete with
each other. On the days of Tet, people temporarily stop their farm work so the
tournament organized in this time can attract crowds of people to cheer. In
addition to official tournament organized by the Commune People's Committee, in
the New Year, in the village, some spontaneous tournaments are often taken
place. This helps the Tet atmosphere in this upland commune become more active.
If previously, the leather volleyball (also
known as hard volleyball) chose players, mostly the young people. So far, soft
volleyball (steam volleyball) was born, both old people, young people have been
satisfied with their wish to become players on the course. Soft Volleyball Club
of Group 4, Thinh Lang Ward, Hoa Binh City was established more than 1 year
ago. However, by now, the club has created a movement to attract many people in
the Group to join in the team. Mr. Doan Minh Chinh, Head of Group 4, shared:
Volleyball is a favorite sport among the local people in the Group, but only
when there is soft volleyball, the elderly like us can participate in training

New Year.
